DESCRIPTION:Hackteria's Empathetic Taxidermia Lab is a durational\, collabo
 rative and explorative experimentation on taxidermy with Marc Dusseiller a
 ka dusjagr\, a co-founder of the Hackteria network. The aim of the lab is 
 to investigate artistic practices and traditional craft with living/non-li
 ving media to reconnect us with our ecosystem and ourselves.\n\n\n\nTaxide
 rmy is the art of preparing\, stuffing\, and mounting the skins of animals
  for display\, study or just simply preservation. It has been around for c
 enturies in various implementations from hobbyists' anthropomorhic represe
 ntations of imagined human happiness\, to contemporary artists.\n\nOvervie

  we will look into more depth of the tools and materials used for taxiderm
 ia of various different species (and feces) with the goal to enable more p
 eople to get started within this interesting and sometimes empathetically 
 conflicting topic. We will investigate different available instructions in
  print and online media and collaboratively develop a contemporary kit/ins
 truction to be shared and communicated.\n\n\n\nPresentation of Outcomes @ 
 Pixelache Festival\n\nOn 24 September at Omenpuutalo&nbsp\;Lapinlahti\, 11
 -14h\, as part of the 2016 Pixelache Festival we will present the outcomes
  of this pre-festival lab held at&nbsp\;Temporary.\n\nMentor\n\nMarc Dusse
 iller aka dusjagr is a nomadic researcher and workshopologist. He is part 
 of the Center for Alternative Coconut Research and co-founder of SGMK and 
 the Hackteria network. Before travelling the world for making DIY / DIWO l
 aboratories for creative biological experimentation with living media\, Ma
 rc entered the world of DIY electronics\, designing printed circuit boards
  for synthesizers and organizing workshops and festivals mostly in Zürich
